Sara N. Sayre (she/her) is a licensed psychologist and President of Barbara Fordyce & Associates, LLC. Sara has been affiliated with Fordyce & Associates since 2001 and became president in 2023. She has 15 years of experience as a mental health clinician. She earned her Bachelor's degree in psychology from Kent State University and her Master's degree in community counseling from John Carroll University. She earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Akron.
Sara’s previous work and training experiences include working in university counseling centers and multiple departments within the Cleveland Clinic. She has experience working with clients from adolescence through adulthood. She values viewing clients in a holistic manner and is particularly interested in wellness and mindfulness-based approaches. Sara incorporates multiple theories and techniques into her work to meet individual client needs and may utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy approaches. Sara’s goal is to create a space for all individuals to feel seen, heard and valued. Her professional interests include anxiety, depression, stress management, LGBTQ+ issues & relationships, grief, self-esteem, trauma, and stage of life concerns.
